The hidden women of Ajami neighborhood

A tour to the heart of The most special neighborhood in the city

inside the houses. meeting people. with local food.

Maayan Kitzony (me)

Hello,

I'm kind of an extremist

I have one Tel Aviv grandmother and one Jaffa grandmother. But it was only after 3 years of living in the city that I really fell in love with it. I started meeting people and discovering places and stories and what I love most about doing is walking with you through the streets and watching you get excited about the discovery :)

The entire tour is dedicated to the neighborhood, to Ajami, and as such it recounts its past and present and includes a cup of coffee at Doris' home in Jaffa-Christian, stunning that will roll you with laughter and a meal around the table of Elia, an excellent Jaffa-Muslim cook who will make you fall in love with her whole family.

Guide and tour guide for 9 years.

The tour lasts about three hours

During the tour we will also talk about the following topics ...

01

Why was the neighborhood established in the first place, and what does it have to do with Neve Tzedek?

02

Who lives in Ajami? Who were the first residents? Who came after them? And who are the new residents?

03

Where is the wind blowing? What are the development plans of the neighborhood?
